I’m a Data Science Leader with technical chops in software engineering, statistics, simulation, artificial intelligence, and data engineering / integration. I’ve built data science teams / best practises, human-in-the-loop web applications, microservices, AI-enabled software, data processing and integration software, and much more.

I’m also into woodworking and DIY, and have built everything from trinkets to large furniture to built-in cabinets. I have even completed multiple commissioned builds, selling to friends, acquaintances, neighbours, and people who reached out to me on social media.

My other hobby is flying airplanes. I am a licensed Private Pilot, working towards my Commercial Pilot License. I am rated for night flying, seaplanes, multiengine, and instrument flying. I own a Cessna 185 floatplane / skiplane, and have flown over 550h on it. With it, I’ve done everything from moose hunting in the Northwestern Ontario wilderness, to fishing on remote lakes near my hometown of Temagami, to work meetings in downtown Toronto. I have over 820h total time as a pilot.
